National Cow Appreciation Day is sponsored by Chick-fil-A, an American fast-food restaurant specializing in chicken-based dishes. Each year since 1995, to convince people to ‘Eat Mor Chikin,’ the restaurant chain devotes a day to ‘cow appreciation’ with contests, specials on food, and cow costumes.
National Cow Appreciation Day continues to be one of the most successful marketing campaigns in history and is a much-beloved addition to the fast-food chain’s bottom line. It is a highly anticipated event for its customers each year.
In 2015 the company moved Cow Appreciation Day from the second Friday to the second Tuesday in July. The Cow Appreciation Day menu runs from opening until 7 PM at Chick-Fil-A restaurants nationwide.
