About Global Cat Day

DESCRIPTION:
Until 1947, all cats had to have outdoor access. What changed then? Cat litter was invented. Suddenly, cats could live their entire lives indoors. This has kept a lot of cats safe, but there are still a lot of cats outside, by choice or not. Global Cat Day is about providing non-lethal solutions to controlling the feral cat populations around the world. Some of these solutions include Trap-Neuter-Return programs, foster and adoption services, and kitten nurseries. Global Cat Day is about raising awareness about the situations of feral cats the world over and coming up with solutions that care rather than kill.
