October is the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Awareness Month.
Promoted by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of child Health and Human Development and supported by the CDC, this month seeks to educate parents in how to prevent or avoid sudden infant death.
Sudden infant death is something that can happen for a variety of reasons, most of which are preventable. This month is about education and prevention.
