The 7-eleven chain of convenience stores sponsors Slurpee Day® to celebrate the 1927 crushed ice drink. July 11 (7/11) was the designated day when customers can enjoy lots of freebies, including its popular Slurpee. Of course, outside of the United States, this day could be celebrated on November 7 (7/11 in global date speak).
