"I Forgot Day" focuses on occasions people have forgotten and reminds people of future appointments.
It is a catch-up day. If you forgot a birthday, this is the do-over day. If you missed an appointment, now you have an excuse. To celebrate, send a mia culpa card or email message and apologize for the missive.
This event was created by Gave Anderson, a Davenport University student advisor from Granger, Indiana; National I Forgot Day was conceptualized during the period when she used to forget a lot of appointments. Instead of getting flustered about the missed dates, she created this unofficial day as a way to make amends.
