About the Hindu observance of Shravan Somwar Vrats

DESCRIPTION:
Somwar (Monday) during the Hindu month of Shrawan is considered optimal for praying to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the worship of Shiva during Shrawan is 108 times more powerful than worshipping during other days of the year. Millions of devout Hindus observe the Shravan Somwar Vrat, fasting and performing Pujas on Mondays in the month of Shrawan.
The fast is broken in the evening after praying to Lord Shiva. It is believed that those who observe Somwar vrat will have their desires fulfilled and will be blessed with wisdom. In some areas, fasting on Mondays is observed by unmarried women to attract the ideal husband.
As with many of the Hindu dates, different dates will show for different regions. These dates are for the Sawan Somwar Vrat Dates for Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Bihar.
