Popularized by Bailey's Irish Cream in 2011 as part of an advertising campaign, Friendsgiving is a more casual version of the Thanksgiving feast that leaves the family behind and brings friends together. Typically it occurs the day after Thanksgiving but can be any friend-attended dinner party during the holiday season between November 15 and January 1 each year.
The origin of this event is an episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey called "Gobblefellas," in which the women competed against each other to host the best Friendsgiving party.
