Gastronomy is the a culinary science that looks at the relationship between food and culture and how to prepare appetizing, nutritious and delicious dishes. As part of the 2030 United Nations Sustainability Goals, the United Nations sponsors Sustainable Gastronomy Day. The focus takes into account the following:
Agricultural development;
Food security;
Nutrition;
Sustainable food production; and
Conservation of biodiversity.
Annually on June 18 since 2017.
