First held in 2015, Jamaican Patty Day is a promotional event of Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, a national franchise featuring Caribbean Food, the most popular of which is the Jamaican Patty. August was chosen as the month to celebrate given it is the anniversary of Jamaica's Independence, the founding of the company and its founder's birthday. Visit any Golden Krust location on the first Saturday of August for specials, tastings and giveaways.
