New York Marathon is an annual event held in New York City.
Considered the largest marathon in terms of participants in the world, this event has been organized sponsored by New York Road Runners Club since 1970.
Some major sponsors of this event are the Tata Consultancy Services, a multinational IT company whose headquarters are in India, and ING, a financial group.
The first marathon hosted only 127 runners in 1970, today the number of runners participating in this event is over 50,000.
