DESCRIPTION:
The North American Strawberry Growers Association champions Pick Strawberries Day in the United States and Canada.
This campaign celebrates strawberries and honors the men and women that work tirelessly so that the rest of us can enjoy them. The day chosen occurs at the beginning of the strawberry harvest season. Local growers will often hold family picking a day to teach children about harvesting and getting strawberries to the table. It also introduces an appreciation for the hard work of simply getting the berry off the plant and onto your plate.
