To appraise the state of philosophy teaching throughout the world, with special emphasis on unequal access; 5. To underline the importance of the universalization of philosophy teaching for future generations. People are encouraged to engage in philosophical dialogues, debates, conferences, exhibitions, and book fairs.

Smokeout, Great American: November 21

The American Cancer Society sponsors the Great American Smokeout on the third Thursday of November. It encourages Americans to quit smoking and was initiated on November 16, 1977. Before this, Arthur P. Mullaney recommended people stop smoking and donate the proceeds to a local school. In 1974, Lynn R. Smith of the Monticello Times of Minnesota promoted a "Don't Smoke Day."

John F Kennedy Assassination (1963): November 22

The 35th president of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy, was assassinated on November 22, 1963, at 12:30 pm in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. Upon the death of Kennedy, Vice President Lyndon Johnson was sworn in as the 36th president of the United States aboard Air Force One in Dallas. President Kennedy traveled with First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and Texas Governor John Connally in a presidential motorcade. Following the assassination, a ten-month investigation conducted by the Warren Commission concluded that the president was fatally shot by Lee Harvey Oswald, who acted alone. Oswald was killed by Jack Ruby, who also acted alone. On the other hand, the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) concluded that the president was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy, that aside from the three rifle bullets that killed the president, there were additional gunshots fired as heard on an audio recording of that day, although the conspirators were never identified. The true story of that day remains a mystery.
