As the weather warms and the grass grows, Greencare for the Troops Month (formerly week) encourages volunteers to help with outdoor care (mowing lawns, pulling weeds, watering plants) at the homes of families of deployed active servicemen and women, the deceased, elderly, and injured veterans.
