Stand for Children Day raises awareness of childcare and safety throughout the US. Over the years, advocates have used this day to rally for reforms in child care. Fairs that focus on the health and the welfare of children are held. In some locations, advocates write petition letters and hold political roundtables.
Stand for Children is an advocacy group based in the United States that was founded in 1996 during the Children’s Defense Rally in Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC. Each year various activities are held throughout the country to encourage awareness.
