DESCRIPTION:
For centuries, Japan has celebrated the return of spring with hanami – parties beneath the blossoming cherry trees with food, drink, and entertainment. The Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia has recreated this tradition in Philadelphia with the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. In addition to the star attraction and the cherry trees in full bloom, the festival features Japanese music, art, food, and culture.
