For centuries, Japan has celebrated the return of spring with hanami – parties beneath the blossoming cherry trees with food, drink, and entertainment. The Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia has recreated this tradition in Philadelphia with the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival.
