Each year more than 60,000 children under the age of four are treated in emergency rooms across the country for burns.
Burn Awareness Week, observed the first full week in February, provides an opportunity for burn, fire and life safety educators to unite in elevating awareness of the causes and best practices in the prevention of burns from fire, chemical and friction in children.
