DESCRIPTION:
World Rhino Day aims to raise awareness of the plight of the five rhino species.
First observed in 2011 and sponsored by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Lisa Jane Campbell championed the cause from the Chishakwe Ranch in Zimbabwe and Rhishja Cota-Larson.
Because of their efforts, many non-profit organizations, zoos, and other related organizations have joined the campaign, making it a global phenomenon.
