Walk in the Sand Day is an effort to focus on shore erosion and the necessity of safeguarding our beaches for today and the future. Everyone is encouraged to head to a beach (or sandbox if you're too far from the ocean) and walk for an hour barefoot in the sand. Consider the importance of breaches to the environment, life, and commerce.
