DESCRIPTION:
The Rose Bowl is an annual collegiate football championship game played at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. It is the oldest bowl game in the United States and is known as "The granddaddy of them all."
Before the game, The Tournament of Roses Parade winds through the city. Every float is created from organic materials of flowers, seeds, fauna, and dirt. The results are spectacular. The Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl are New Year's Day traditions in the US, televised worldwide.
The first Rose Bowl occurred on January 1, 1902, featuring Stanford versus Midwestern. Michigan won 49-0.
