Therapy Dog Awareness Month originated in 2018 and is championed by the Delta Society in Australia.
Over 20,000 Australians enjoy a visit from a therapy dog each week, including hospitalized children, nursing home residents, anxious university students, and stressed office workers.
This event is both a fundraiser and an awareness campaign. Delta Society is the leader in providing programs and training to support positive interactions with therapy dogs and people. Look for Therapy Dog Meet & Pat events in major cities throughout Australia during September.
