If you grew up in the 1960s or later, one of the must-have toys was an Easy-Bake Oven. Still made today and as popular as ever, this little oven using light bulbs to heat unique recipe creations allows children to cook cakes and other treats in their rooms. Today is National Easy-Bake Oven Day, honoring its release on November 4, 1963.
This event was created by Todd Coopee of Toy Tales and author of "Light Bulb Baking: A History of the Easy-Bake Oven."
