National Dementia Awareness Week in the UK runs annually toward the end of May. Different regions may choose to celebrate on different weeks throughout the month.
The week seeks to raise awareness about the problems dementia patients and their families face, the dangers of dementia, and what people can do to lessen their likelihood of getting it.
