Tomorrowland added Tomorrowland Winter in the Alpe d'Huez, France, in 2019. Tomorrowland is the biggest electronic music festival in the world. Held in Belgium, it includes electronic shows, live music, and one-of-a-kind shows. The event is simulcast to local venues in Abu Dhabi, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Mexico, Spain, and Taiwan. World Theatre Day is the creation of the International Theatre Institute (ITI). It is celebrated annually on March 27 by ITI Centres and the international theatre community. Various national and international theatre events are organized to mark this occasion. One of the most important of these is the circulation of the World Theatre Day International Message through which, at the invitation of ITI, a figure of world stature shares his or her reflections on that year's theme. The first World Theatre Day International Message was written by Jean Cocteau (France) in 1962. What is known as the International Message is translated into more than 20 languages, read for tens of thousands of spectators before performances in theaters throughout the world, and printed in hundreds of daily newspapers. Colleagues in the audio-visual field lend a fraternal hand, with more than a hundred radio and television stations transmitting the message to listeners across the five continents.

Terri's Day (2005): March 31

On March 31, 2005, Terri Schindler Schiavo died in a Florida hospice after a court ordered the removal of a feeding tube and prohibited anyone from assisting her in eating. Terri had been beaten severely by her husband, receiving multiple internal injuries and brain damage. Yet, he remained her legal guardian and in control of her life throughout her hospitalization. He argued that she would not have wanted prolonged artificial life support with no chance for recovery in a vegetative state. Hospital photos show her interacting with people and not in a vegetative state. Her husband then went to court to get a ruling to remove her feeding tube and any oral assistance in eating (she could swallow food), thus starving her to death. That decision and the surrounding legal struggle proved unpopular with Terri's parents, friends, and religious institutions worldwide. That led to March 31 earning the name "Terri's Day," a day to advocate for human rights, patient rights, and the removal of abusers and those convicted of domestic violence from the role of legal guardian.

World Tennis Day is an initiative of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and StarGames. It first ran on March 4, 2013, intending to promote the sport of tennis and increase tennis participation among young players around the globe. Developed out of the success of the BNP Paribas Showdown in New York and Tennis Night in America, the promotional event has garnered tremendous support since its announcement in November 2012. The inaugural World Tennis Day centered around two high-profile events: the BNP Paribas Showdown in New York and Hong Kong. These events featured current and former professionals competing and demonstrations of the ITF’s Tennis10s program. World Tennis Day is a global grassroots initiative. The ITF encouraged its 210 national associations to support the day with their club activities to attract new tennis participants. By 2013, World Tennis Day activities took place in 58 countries. World Tennis Day occurs on the first Monday in March.

John Amos Comenius (March 28, 1592 - November 15, 1670) was an educator and theologian born in Moravia who pioneered education. His primary philosophy was that all children should receive an education, a highly progressive idea in Renaissance Europe, where typically only the wealthy received education. He also advocated against corporal punishment in education and wrote several educational texts. Comenius is considered a hero in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. His birth is celebrated each year as Teacher's Day.
